Isabelline Gothic

Isabelline Gothic (in Spanish, Gótico Isabelino), is the name of an architectural style that was developed in Spain, during Isabella of Castile reign (1474 to 1505).

It is considered to be the last expression of Spanish Gothic, and it has some elements of Renaissance influence. It is a transition style. The use of conopial and basket handled arches, shield decoration and the inscription of conmemorative text in strips, are only some of its characteristics.
