Briccole 4
Born from the love for Venice, surrounded and protected by the waters, the research and creation of a truly unique collection, in which the material used is of such importance to be considered a historical witness and cultural heritage of the city. These are the "briccole" (in Venetian “bricole”), structures formed of one or more large wooden poles tied together and placed in water, in order to signal to boats the navigable portion of the lagoon.
The wood of the briccole is peculiar : in the course of its life, which varies between 5 and 10 years, it undergoes many changes: it is worn out and caressed by the water as well as shaped by the marine life that marks its passage by creating absolutely perfect circles in the material , giving it unique and enchanting shapes and designs.
Its beauty is intrinsic in the natural material, that is shaped by the waters of a magnificent and surreal city. The “briccole” bring along an extraordinary memory and come from a nature worn out by time, by the sea, by memories and barely touched dreams.
Coming into contact with a product of such rarity and beauty, you can feel the “pulsating soul'' of the material, having the great privilege to bring along a fragment of Venice.
