These tiles are hand selected by Paris Ceramics from the Languedoc region of France. Antique Parrefeuille tiles were handmade and fired in wood-burning kilns, a practice that ceased in the 19th century.
Made from local earth, roughly sieved, to give them their varied texture and beautiful pink and ochre tones, these tiles are up to 150 years in age.
Antique Parrefeuille tiles are approximately 20 x 35cm (8” x 14”) x 2.3 to 3cm (1” to 1¼”) in thickness, but can vary in size.
