Refined Limestone with Stencilled Pattern

The close grained texture of the refined limestone originates from beds laid down during the Jurassic period, some 90 million years ago. Although the stone has been used locally for centuries, it is only relatively recently that its qualities have been appreciated on a larger scale, mainly due to the introduction of modern cutting equipment.

A stone of light golden brown tones on a cream and sometimes pink background with occasional quartz veining, this is a classical understated limestone, working equally well in both traditional and modern design schemes.
